There is no reason to spend the money on Lemishine when this works exactly the same! We run our dishwasher at least once, sometimes twice a day, so the cost really adds up. The 1 lb bag looks like it will be enough for three batches of the recipe as written. I tried it as written and it worked for me plus it fit into the 24 oz bottle of Lemi Shine perfectly. I just made up the second batch. Thanks again for the recipe. Under $2.50 a batch is much better than the $7 at the store.Tabitha Teeterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08567534783916246676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5572438167532006960.post-54286182363107333072016-09-18T12:29:45.483-07:002016-09-18T12:29:45.483-07:00I've got a Citrus EO blend in mine. I'd recommend a plastic or glass container with a tight fitting lid that you could shake-- maybe a recycled large yogurt, sour cream or similar container? Since the salt is non-reactive, it should have an indefinite shelf-life as long as its kept absolutely dry! I was using a homemade detergent that had borax and washing soda in it, but I had to add the citric acid to the wash separately because it causes the other ingredients to harden when mixed and stored together. Thank you for sharing this!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
